When the family all arrives for a holiday in South Africa, there’s nothing better to organise than a big family photo session.
Josef and Annemarie’s children and grandchildren are in the country for a short visit so I met them on Sunday afternoon for a big family photo session at Delta Park.
Part of the family are visiting from Germany and the other part of the family are here from New Zealand. It’s really quite magical that I can make special memories for far flung families.
The kids only spoke german, so it was quite fun having all my instruction being translated. It didn’t take too long for the kids to relax with me though. After showing them a few as I took them, and a couple of high fives we were a-for-away. High fiving is understood around the world… it’s one of those great levellers. LOL!
After chatting to the family about where they live, I headed for the veld. There’s nothing that shouts South Africa more than the long grass at this time of the year.
Of course sword fights with the long grass strands had to happen!
I really hope the family had as much fun as I did, and I hope they enjoy the rest of their trip!
