Joshua’s 3rd birthday party at home

It was Joshua’s 3rd birthday this weekend and he had his birthday party at home in Kempton Park.  

He had a construction themed cake because he’s just mad about construction vehicles. In fact his sandpit under the jungle gym is filled with different construction vehicles. 

His mom also organised a puppet show for his birthday.  Debbie from Leo’s Puppet Theatre was pretty awesome and it took a while, but the kids eventually warmed to the puppets. They did give them a few cuddles in the end. 

We started the day with a very short family portrait session so that we got some photos of Joshua’s brand new baby sister! In fact it was the first time I’d combined some newborn portraits with a party. 

But first, she needed feeding so I filled the time with some photos of Joshua and his dad reading the biggest books I think I’ve ever seen!
